
Anyone operating as a crafted precious metal dealer in the State of Texas must register with the Office of Consumer Credit Commissioner (OCCC).
Certificate Registration
Crafted Precious Metal Dealers is now hosted on the Texas OCCC website ALECS. Anyone who previously held a registration from the DPS and those looking to obtain a new registration must create a new account in ALECS and submit a new application that approved upon completion of payment. Create New Account and Register
This process takes 10-15 minutes to complete, in which time you should be able to create your account, pay for, and print your certificate.
Log In-Existing User (Those That Have Already Applied in ALECS)
Print Certificates, Add Locations, Add Business Owners, Renew etc.

How do I?...
Add a temporary location
Submit a new application and for location type select temporary.
Renew (Available Dec of 2019)
(Those registered through DPS previously and new applicants must apply as new)
2. Click on "Manage My Business"
3. Click on "Renew Registration"
4. Select "Crafted Precious Metal Dealers" from the "Registration Type" Menu and process your payment.
Print Certificate
Follow steps 1-2 above and select print registration and follow the prompts.
Modify Certificate Location
Follow steps 1-2 above and select modify location and follow the prompts.
Remove a certificate:
Follow steps 1-2 above and select surrender registration and follow the prompts.
