The OCCC has all of its interpretation letters online. None of the letters were available to the agency electronically, so paper copies of the letters were scanned into an imaging system to make them available on this Web site. Unfortunately, the imaging software's search feature is not user-friendly. Locating a particular letter can be difficult because the search function is not set up in a way that's obvious to most users. Consult the instructions and tips on this page for best results.

| Essential Instructions and Tips |
To log in, use the password and user name provided on the log-in screen: both are TXOCCC.
To reach the search fields after you log in, click on New Query in the menu on the screen's left. You'll then get a table with three columns: Show, Index Name, and Search Value.
To search for
a particular letter, enter any specifics you have about the letter
in the corresponding field, such as 86-3 in the Interp Number field or
7-15-1986 in the Date Issued field. Then click on the Submit button that
appears below the Show column to get the results (called the "Result
Set.")
Tip: If you don't have any specifics, it's easier to simply bring
up the entire list of letters and scroll through them to find the one
you want.
To view the entire list of letters, click on New Query in the menu on the screen's left. You'll then get a table with three columns: Show, Index Name, and Search Value. Click on the Submit button that appears below the Show column.
To sort the list by a particular column's contents, use the little arrows next to that column's name. These arrows point up and down.
To view all columns in the Result Set, you may have to scroll to the right, depending upon your monitor and screen resolution.
To view a letter, double-click on the document icon pictured at the beginning of each row. You'll then get tiny images (called "thumbnails") of each page in the letter. Double-click on a thumbnail and it will appear in the little viewing window below the thumbnail. Note: You can view only one full page at a time.
To make the viewing window bigger, move your cursor over the grey frame between the viewing window and the rust-colored section where the thumbnails appear. When your cursor is positioned over that line, your cursor should become a two-headed arrow. Click and drag to pull the grey line up, making the viewing window larger.
To change the letter's size as it appears in the little viewing window, pick the size you want from the Zoom Percent drop-down menuthat's in the box in the upper right corner of the screen.
To print or e-mail a page: PC usersposition your cursor on the full-size page, right-click, and select Print Picture or E-mail Picture. Mac usersposition your cursor on the full-size page and hold down your mouse button to get a menu for printing or e-mailing. Note: Don't try to print when your cursor is over the thumbnailyou'll probably get a printout of a very tiny letter. Tip: If the letter's text runs off your printed page, try changing the Zoom Percent (found in the box in the upper right corner of the screen) from 100% to to 75%, then printing again.
